Iran Air begins flights to Kabul

KABUL (Amu TV) : Iran Air commenced its first flight to Kabul on Wednesday, according to a Taliban statement.

The Taliban-run Ministry of Transportation and Aviation announced that this inaugural flight will be part of a weekly service by the airline.

Iranian airline company has not yet commented on it.

In a statement, the ministry noted that Iran Air joins two Afghan airlines, Ariana Afghan Airlines and Kam Air, as well as three other foreign carriers—Taban, Yazd, and Kish Airlines—in offering flights to various cities in Iran.

Following the fall of the previous Afghan government, many international airlines suspended their services to Afghanistan.

While some carriers have resumed operations, many international airlines have yet to restart flights to the country under Taliban rule.
