UK’s Virgin Atlantic resumes Pakistan flights in Oct

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Virgin Atlantic Airlines is making a comeback to Pakistan, announcing the resumption of flights from London to three major cities — Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad — starting October.

The airline had halted its operations in Pakistan back in 2023.

Flights to resume in October

According to the announcement, Virgin Atlantic will restart direct connections from London to Pakistan’s key airports next month. Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad will once again be part of the airline’s global network, bringing back travel options for passengers between the UK and Pakistan.

Routes via Riyadh

In addition to direct links, Virgin Atlantic confirmed that Pakistan will also be included in its flight operations through Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This expansion will provide travellers more flexible route options when flying between London and Pakistan.

Permission from CAA

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has officially granted permission to Virgin Atlantic to operate flights once again. The decision paves the way for the airline’s return after a two-year gap, strengthening air connectivity between Pakistan and the UK.
